I’m Carmen Bárcenas, the academic, poet, and artist behind Barcé Jewelry. For over twenty years, I have been a professor of Spanish and Hispanic Literature—a career that deepened my lifelong fascination with poetry, symbolism, and the power of narrative.
This passion for weaving stories led me to pursue a second life in the arts. My creative foundation includes interior design, drawing, painting, and ultimately the craft of goldsmithing, which I refined through advanced studies in Houston, New York, and Japan.
Creating has always been my quiet form of reflection—an act that transforms stillness into meaning. Barcé Jewelry is where these worlds converge—a dialogue between art and emotion. My poems translate depth into jewelry shaped in gold and stone—soulful, minimalist treasures that invite you to wear your own radiant story.
